String Scholarships

    I'm happy to announce the String Scholarship Program! 

    Since the early days of String Systems ("EMP" back then), I have always been willing to help out anyone who reached out with financial difficulties. With the help and support of String Partners and customers, I had already given dozens of scholarships.

    But then the corona lockdown came, and I made the String Partner Subscription available for free to those who were stuck at home, and couldn't afford to sign up for the regular price. More than 100 people signed up. 

    I now realize, more than ever, that tough times don't disappear just because the lockdown is over. So I have decided to make scholarships a permanent feature, and help make my methods available to as many players as possible.

• How does the scholarship work?

If it's hard to fit the monthly payment in your budget without some help, just fill the form below to apply. As soon as I process the application I'll send you your discount coupon 👍.

• For how long are these scholarships?

You’ll keep the scholarship rate as long as you stay subscribed. Just like the regular subscription, you can cancel at any time — but I hope this will help you stick around for a while!

• Who is eligible?

Anyone who has difficulty paying the regular $20/mo price (pensioners, full-time students, between jobs, from a country with economic issues or bad currency exchange rate, etc.).

• Do you charge VAT or other taxes?

Scholarship pricing is tax-inclusive. This means that no tax will be added at checkout. Any tax obligations will be calculated by our accounting system and remitted by String Systems to your local tax authorities, at no extra cost for you.

• Are sponsorship payments tax deductible?

String Systems is not a non-profit organization. Therefore any payment, or donation, is treated as a purchase, and is not tax deductible.

• What are the perks for sponsors?

For any sponsorship payment from $75 and up you get a free online private guitar lesson 😎🎸.

• What if I don't want a private lesson?

Don't worry, we can skip the lesson, save it for later, or just have virtual coffee and chat ☕️.
